Dermatitis - Symptom, Treatment and cause of Dermatitis
DESCRIPTION: Any inflammation of the skin. There are many differenttypes of dermatitis.
CAUSE: Often very difficult to determine, for although the skin is themost visible of our organs, its diseases are very diverse and oftendifficult to diagnose.
SYMPTOMS: Almost any rash can be called dermatitis.
INVESTIGATIONS: Often none necessary as simple treatments work. Ifnecessary, biopsy, skin and blood tests will be performed.T
REATMENT: In most cases simple steroid anti-inflammatory creams willcontrol dermatitis.
COMPLICATIONS: May become persistent and widespread.
PROGNOSIS: Depends on type and cause.
