What is Pseudomonas Infections?

Pseudomonas infections are caused by several types of the gram-negative bacteria Pseudomonas specially Pseudomonas ferruginous widely distributed in soil, water, plants, and animals. It may affect any part of the body. It infects those people who are already sick is called an opportunistic pathogen ,and develops in debilitated, very ill and hospitalized people,especially those with a weakened immune system .Pseudomonas Infections may be found in the maxilla and tangential areas of normal skin

Causes of Pseudomonas Infections

  • little pain
  • causes minor skin infection
  • clouded consciousness
  • Ulcers in the eye
  • Inflammation of the tissues covering the brain and spinal cord.
  • It is a serious infection.so in some patients they may cause death also
  • It may cause severe pneumonia in hospitalized people, who are in intensive care unit(ICU)

Symptoms of Pseudomonas Infections

  • Production of purulent matter in infected wounds
  • Joint pains
  • Fever

What are the treatments for Pseudomonas Infections?

  • Wash the burned area with warm water.
  • Apply local highly concentrated antibiotic drops fir eye infections .Sometimes, antibiotics must be injected directly into the eye.
  • Give a treatment with 1% acetic acid irrigations or topical agents like Olympian B or colistin.When the infection is localized and external, this treatment will be effective.
  • Surgery is necessary to remove infected and damaged tissue. surgery may be required for brain abscesses, eye infections, bone and joint infections, heart infections, and wound infections.
  • Antibiotics-Combinations of certainties (Cleft, Fortran, Azoic), capriole (Cairo), impendent (Prima), entailing (Arraying), Torrance (Necking), piccalilli (Indenting), apperceiving (Zoos), Camilla, Melville, and azlocillin.Most antibiotics are given intravenously or orally for two to six weeks.
