What is Pneumocystis Carinii Pneumonia?

Pneumoconiosis carinii pneumonia(PCP) is also known as Pneumoconiosis, ,Pneumoconiosis Israeli . This is an infection of the lungs caused by the fungus Pneumoconiosis carrion , and is the most common opportunistic infection in HIV-infected patients. People whose immune systems are weak because of HIV infection can get PCP .People with CD4 cell counts under 200 have the highest risk of developing PCP. PCP is most often found in the lungs,but sometimes attacks other parts of the body. In North America, 65 to 100 percent of children have been infected with Pneumoconiosis carrion by the age of four.

Causes of Pneumocystis Carinii Pneumonia

  • Growing and filling the alveoli of the lungs. Alveoli are small sacs in the lung that are lined with blood vessels.
