What is frostbite?
Frostbite is an injury to the body caused by exposure to temperature below 32 degrees Fahrenheit. This inflammation mostly affects to hands, face and feet which is characterized by the tingling, blistering and possibly gangrene. It may cause to the permanent destruction of tissue which occur from the crystallization of tissue water in the skin. Rarely it is called frostnip in its early stage. It is moslty affects to the male which may be because of outdoor activity.
Causes of frostbite
Frostbite mostly occur because of extreame cold tempreture which is below 32 degrees Fahrenheit. It is mostly affects to some part of body like hands, face and feet.
Any one can affected by the frosbite who comes undrethe contact with very cold temperature for long period and people with arteries disease comes under the risk of this disease.
Following some factors which may trigger the risk of frostbite-
- smoking,
- windy weather
- diabetes, peripheral neuropathy, and Raynaud's phenomenon
