What is Endocarditis?
Endocarditis is an inflammation of the inner lining of the heart and this infection is usually secondary to an infection by a bacteria but occurs when a microbe infects the endocardium. This disease mostly occurs when bacteria or other germs from another part of body, like mouth, spread through your bloodstream and lodge in your heart and if ti isleft untreated it may damage the heart valves and that can be life-threatening.
Causes of Endocarditis
Endocarditis is a problem of infection and it occurs because of infection by the bacteria and theses bacteria may transmitted hrough various activity such as Certain dental or medical procedures, catheters or needle, an infection or other medical condition and other common activites etc. It doesn't occur to the person who have healthy heart and person who are congenitalor an acquired heart condition comes under the risk of this disease.
