What is Colorectal-cancer?
Colorectal-cancer is also known as colon cancer. This is a cancer occurs in the cells which line the inside of the colon or the rectum. The colon is the part of the digestive system in which the waste material is stored and the rectum is the end of the colon adjacent to the anus. In most cases this cancer starts as small, noncancerous clumps of cells called adenomatous polyp but after some time some of these polyps become cancerous. Prevention and early detection is very important to control this type of cancer otherwise it may lead to death.
Cuases of Colorectal-cancer
The exact cause is not known but it may includes some risk factors which may increase the risk of colorectal cancer. These risk factors includes family history, Ulcerative colitis, Personal history of breast cancer, Crohn's diseaseetc. Some kind of polyps in large testines may also be responsible for this type of cancer. If a person have any kind of a cancer in any part of the body he/she may come undre the risk of colorectal cancer. high fat intake may also trigger the risk of this kind of cancer.
